General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments

It is a public body with independent legal personality and legal capacity necessary to direct all actions and behaviors to achieve its objectives. It is under the control of the Council of Ministers, and submit to it periodic reports on its work and activities and the achievement of its objectives. His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan commanded its establishment in October 2006. (1) The government explained everything related to endowments: its conditions, adoption, encouraging its activation, and the revival of its role as a sign of the UAE community interaction with its government in this policy which is aimed to strengthen the link between society and religion.
