The UAE government in general and Umm Al Quwain in particular, do not refrain from working on the follow-up of the affairs of its people and its citizens as the source of its greatest wealth. In order to achieve this goal, the leadership encourages both public and private sectors to adopt the nationalization policies in the employment in both sectors. The National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) and the UAE program for the development of national cadres played a prominent role in fostering and stimulating nationalization policies in the UAE.
The leadership did not overlook the rights of persons with disabilities, and hence the Federal Government approved a decree in November 2006 for the Disabled (Federal Law No. 29/2006), which protects the rights of that category. This law undertakes to grant the citizens of the state with disabilities the same rights as other persons in terms of work and filling the government positions... In its orientation towards the fulfillment of these rights, Community Development Authority presented the program (Alkeet) - means the ready Lifeboat in local dialect- dedicated to the employment of persons with disabilities, by giving them the confidence and integrating them in businesses within leading institutions in the public and private sectors.
